Futureal

I've chosen my electives for the next year and will specialize in Marketing. I gotta get through FM this term first. The other subjects are plain sailing. As for the internship, I've to report in Mumbai on 7th April, so I'll get to spend a week at home before that. It'll be the first time I'm going home since I left in June last year, to join. Chechi and vava will be there.

There's familiarization over a couple of days, after which I'm hoping to be sent to Bangalore like the IT interns last year were. It's also the best place to weather the summer. I'll get to meet a bit of the old gang at MindTree, though there aren't many of 'em left. Aravind will be there too, before he joins Bain, and Hari'll be back from Seattle by then.

The seniors leave today and I shall be shifting to the 5-star hostel next year, i.e. 13, along with the Tam gang, viz. Avinash, Thivahar, Ramprasad and Vijay. The restrooms have basins in granite slabs, the rooms have swivel chairs and aluminium cots, and there's wide screen TV for the upcoming F1 season. Besides, there are a lot of other cool peoples moving in too, so although it'll be hot on the 2nd floor, I think I'll survive. :)

I've bought a few books from Landmark with the vouchers we won for a competition. There's Tolkien's "The Silmarillion", Bill Bryson's "A Short History of Nearly Everything", Carl Sagan's "Cosmos", a book of Oscar Wilde's complete works, and another of Ruskin Bond's collected fiction, so that makes for some interesting reading indeed.
